Introducing this year's line up:

About Jay Nash:

Jay Nash’s vocal style is comfortable and familiar, but polished and all his own, like a new pair of shoes that fit just right. Perhaps that is why, within 48 hours of its release, Nash’s latest effort, “The Things You Think You Need,” hit #22 on the iTunes Rock Chart, where he was the only truly independent artist in the company of major label heavy-hitters. Nash will be backed by Matt DelVecchio (Tristan Prettyman, Cary Brothers) on bass and Chris Lovejoy (Charlie Hunter, AM) on drums. For more information, please visit www.myspace.com/jaynash.

About Amber Rubarth:

After 3 years of a full-time wood-sculpting apprenticeship, Amber Rubarth traded in her chainsaw for a guitar, and taught herself to write and play songs. Two years later, Rubarth’s mix of vulnerability and courage, melancholia and optimism propelled her debut album, “Something New” to Owl Magazine’s “Top 10 of 2005” alongside Kanye West, Fiona Apple and Jack Johnson. “Washing Day,” off her second release, “Unfinished Art,” won first place in the International Songwriting Competition (2007) and was a winner in the Great American Song Contest (2008). For more information, please visit www.myspace.com/amberrubarth.

About Chris Pierce:

Chris Pierce speaks to the heart and soul of his listeners, and offers his music as a celebration of life, love and the pursuit of joy. When you listen, you feel the heart of Curtis Mayfield and the spirit of Marvin Gaye. Creating a name for himself on the Los Angeles music scene has transformed him into an international sensation – he makes a stop at the River after having returned from a tour of Japan. For more information, please visit www.myspace.com/chrispierce.

About Chris Seefried:

Chris Seefried is best known as the founding member and producer of the bands God’s Child (signed by Quincy Jones), Joe 90 (signed by Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows), and Low Stars (Hear Music). In between making records and touring as Roseanne Cash’s guitar player, Seefried also scores numerous films and commercials. His solo record, “Denim Blue,” was released this year and features musical contributions from David Immergluck of the Counting Crows and Richard Lloyd from Television. For more information, please visit www.myspace.com/chrisseefried.

About Eliza Moore:

Eliza Moore’s unique sound stems from her diverse musical background. Rooted in classical tradition, she further honed her skills in London where she developed her passion for world music and collaborative composition. Moore’s art thrives on travel and diversity, as it enables her to constantly reinvent her already eclectic style. This spring, she wrapped up recording on her newest solo album, “Beauty in Mystery,” produced by Los Angeles producer and internationally acclaimed jazz musician, Deron Johnson. About Garrison Starr:

Garrison Starr’s fans count from comedian Margaret Cho to musician Mary Chapin Carpenter. They all celebrate the “affecting, emotion-bearing songs” (Billboard Magazine) she performs with her “gorgeous, full, rough, passionate voice that can be ultimately pensive, intimate, hurt, consoling, libidinous, or scornful – sometimes during the same verse” (MSNBC). Her self-described “best work” can be found on her latest release, “The Girl That Killed September,” released on Media Creature Music. For more information, please visit www.myspace.com/garrisonstarr.

About Joe Purdy:

Taking full advantage of his independent freedom, Joe Purdy has released nine self-produced/-released albums to date, and is currently mixing his tenth, “Last Clock on the Wall.” Each of these albums act as a travel guide for his experiences, which include European touring (“You Can Tell Georgia,” “Paris in the Morning”) as well as a stop on the river (“Julie Blue”). His songs have been featured on primetime network television hits (“Lost,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “House”) as well as a national KIA ad. About Joey Ryan:

With a soulful voice and smart songwriting, Joey Ryan is an artist beyond his years who delivers compelling performances with poetic ease. His songs have been in the Top 20 of the iTunes folk charts in 3 countries, following features on television programs “One Tree Hill” and “Veronica Mars,” the 2006 Toronto Film Festival winner, “Bella,” and airplay on Los Angeles’ Indie 103.1FM. Most recently, Ryan donated his song “California” to UNICEF for use in a television commercial publicizing their TAP Project, which provides drinking water to the world’s poorest children. About Meiko:

Meiko is a gifted songbird whose intimate, confessional performances have been attracting a building buzz via support from Nic Harcourt, Music Director at Los Angeles’ KCRW and host of the nationally-syndicated “Sounds Eclectic” program and placement in such hit TV shows as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Kyle XY,” and “Good Morning America.” In 2007, her self-titled, self-released debut album peaked at #35 on the iTunes Top 100 Albums Chart, and she is featured in their 2008 “Next Big Thing” spotlight.
