Save The River® Upper St. Lawrence Riverkeeper®
Save The River is a non-profit, member-based environmental organization whose mission is to preserve and protect the ecological integrity of the Upper St. Lawrence River through advocacy, education and research.
Save The River is the leading grassroots advocacy group working to protect the Upper St. Lawrence River. We take an active role in River policy issues, conduct outreach advocacy campaigns, and monitor water quality and wildlife.
The St. Lawrence River is the third longest river in North America, flowing 744 miles from Lake Ontario to the Gulf on the St. Lawrence. As the only outflow for all the Great Lakes, there is an incredible responsibility to make sure this waterway is protected.
See what Save The River was up to during Summer 2025! From Common Tern Monitoring to Shoal Marking, it’s been a jam-packed season of fun and advocacy on the St. Lawrence River.
