Save The River is a non-profit, member-based environmental organization whose mission is to preserve and protect the ecological integrity of the Upper St. Lawrence River through advocacy, education and research.

We joined the Thousand Island Land Trust (TILT) and some volunteers this week to take down tern grids at one of the nesting sites. These grids protect the tern nests from predators and competitors during the summer when they’re most vulnerable.

Help support the protection of this species by adopting a tern! Information about rebuilding the grid will be available Spring 2025 for those interested in volunteering.
