Announcing our next Winter Environmental Conference speaker: Jake Tibbles

As we approach the three year anniversary of Save Blind Bay, Jake takes us through the progress made in 2024 where the effort is headed in 2025. His presentation is coupled with the release of the second episode of a docu-series named after the effort. View the first episode, Save Blind Bay: An Environmental Treasure, here.

Jake Tibbles has dedicated over 18 years to the conservation and management of cherished landscapes within the Thousand Islands region. As Executive Director of the Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT) since 2012, he oversaw the successful renewal of TILT’s Accreditation by the Land Trust Alliance Accreditation Commission. Under his leadership, TILT has experienced significant growth in conserved acreage, expanded educational programming, and increased staffing capacity. Mr. Tibbles currently serves on the New York Land Trust Alliance Advisory Board and recently concluded his tenure on the Board of American Friends of Canadian Land Trusts. A lifelong resident of Northern New York, Mr. Tibbles possesses a deep-rooted passion for the outdoors and a profound appreciation for the ecological significance of the greater St. Lawrence River Valley.
