Meet the Summer Interns!

You are here: Home / Latest News / Meet the Summer Interns!

June 23, 2025 by STR_Admin

We are excited to introduce our summer interns, Collin and Theo!

Collin grew up in Endwell, New York, where an appreciation for the outdoors sparked his passion for environmental stewardship. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, with a concentration in Renewable Energy, from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

Spending summers on Blind Bay has given him a strong connection to the St. Lawrence River and a commitment to protecting its ecosystem from the environmental challenges it faces today.

In his free time, Collin enjoys fishing and spending time on the water, further deepening his connection to the river we all work to protect. He is excited for the opportunity to give back to a place that means so much to him.

Theo grew up outside of New York but looks forward to summering at his family’s home on the river each year. Now a Wildlife and Fisheries Biology major at the University of Vermont, he discovered an interest in aquatic ecology and conservation biology.

His passion for environmental conservation in the Thousand Islands heightened after he volunteered for a River cleanups hosted by Save The River, inspired by their community driven environmental work.

In his free time, Theo enjoys bird watching, rock climbing, and anything that involves spending time on the River or getting lost in a good book.

Come by the Save The River store-front this summer and meet both our interns!
