Become the eyes and ears of the River!

Riverkeeper Training equips you to be a vigilant steward for the Upper St. Lawrence River. Through our 2.5 hour education session, you’ll learn the skills necessary for identifying health risks, pollution, and invasive species on the River.

Use Citizen Science to Contribute to Research

Report Problems to STR

Distinguish Native vs. Invasive Species

Identify Pollution & Its Sources

Identify Wildlife Die-Offs

Volunteers who attend a training session will receive all the materials needed to participate in the program as well as a Save The River t-shirt.

Please call the Wellesley Island Minna Anthony Common Nature Center at (315) 482-2479 to register. 

Email education@savetheriver.org to be notified of future volunteer training sessions.

Save The River is a 501(c)3 and was designated the Upper St. Lawrence Riverkeeper in 2004 and is a member of the International Waterkeeper Alliance. The Waterkeeper Alliance is the world’s fastest growing environmental movement, with more than 300+ local Waterkeepers patrolling rivers, lakes and coastal waterways on 6 continents.
