Save The River’s In The Classroom program has been designed to impact the community by enriching the depth of understanding and sensitivity about the River environment in school-aged children.
Over the last three years, Save The River has been working with school teachers to create St. Lawrence River curriculum for local area classrooms. By providing this curriculum in the classroom, Save The River will educate the next generation about the importance of the St. Lawrence River and give students the tools to help protect this important resource for the future.
Listed below are categories of the curriculum units created by our participating teachers. We have provided these units for teachers to take and use in the classroom. If you are interested in developing your own classroom units we’d love to hear from you. We also hope you will check out our Education Resource Links, which will provide you with additional resources to help shape the curriculum to meet your classroom needs.
