Building Tern Shelters and Birdhouses with the ABM

You are here: Home / Common Tern Project / Building Tern Shelters and Birdhouses with the ABM

August 11, 2025 by STR_Admin

Education Coordinator Dan Bellinger was at the Antique Boat Museum building Common Tern shelters with young volunteers on Saturday. Five families joined the effort and by the end of the day, nine birdhouses and five tern shelters were built and ready to go outside!

Save The River would like to give a special shoutout to the Antique Boat Museum for hosting and providing all the birdhouse materials. For some kids and even an adult, it was their first time handling power tools. This made the experience not just beneficial for the River but also empowering for those new to woodworking.
