Anthony “TJ” Mangoni

Anthony “TJ” Mangoni, District Response Advisory Team Supervisor of the Ninth Coast Guard District, discussed the purpose of the Marine Firefighting Task Force and the collaboration to improve firefighting capabilities in three major ship fires.

Tony David

Tony David, Executive Director of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe Environment Division and U.S. Member of the International Lake Ontario St. Lawrence River Board, provided a brief overview of water regulations and the challenges that hinder evaluation of reliable outcomes.

Jeff Ridal

Jeff Ridal, Executive Director of the St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences, initiated an ecosystem health report on the Upper St. Lawrence River, identified data gaps for future research, and shared key findings from a selection of the fish indicators.

Stephany Hildebrand

Stephany Hildebrand, Visual Communications Specialist of the St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences, interpreted the translation of science and data into compelling stories and formats that motivate actions and delved further into Ohén:ton Karihwatéhkwen (Words that come before all else).

Lee Harper, PhD

Lee Harper, PhD, Conservation Biologist, presented current data and conservation efforts on Common Terns and the past trends of the species’ population.

James “Jim” McGarry

James “Jim” McGarry, Environmental Advocate, outlined the duties of Common Tern farming and interpreted their mating behaviors.

Lauren Eggleston, Assistant Director of Save The River, updated the public on our education program numbers for 2022 as well as launched our NEW Floating Classroom program for 2023.
