Recap: Love Our River Day Cleanup

June 14, 2025 by STR_Admin

Shoutout to the volunteers who joined Save The River and the Alex Bay Chamber of Commerce for a Love Our River Day Trash Cleanup this weekend!

By kayak, STR staff and volunteers paddled by the Otter Creek Preserve picking up 100lbs of trash, including a full-sized tarp, bottle caps, and blue floating-dock styrofoam.

It was a beautiful morning to be on the water – thank you to all the volunteers who joined us!

Save The River would also like to thank the Otter Creek Inn and Capt.’s Inn & Suites for being access points to the water, and would also like to thank the Alex Bay Kinney Drugs.
