Save The River (STR), the 46-year-old environmental watchdog for the St. Lawrence River, recently promoted a staff member.
Bridget Wright has been promoted from Development Director to Assistant Director. For the past 14 years, Bridget has been a cornerstone of Save The River’s success. Since joining the organization in winter 2010, she has not only played a vital role in achieving membership, fundraising, and development goals, but has also overseen the crucial day-to-day operations. Her dedication extends beyond core duties, with a deep passion for the Beach Watch and water quality programs, and enthusiasm in assisting with finance management. Bridget’s solid and steadfast work earned her the affectionate nickname “the anchor,” a testament to her stability and reliability.
Bridget’s connection to Save The River runs deep. With family and friends amongst the organization’s founders, the mission of protecting the St. Lawrence River is deeply ingrained in her personal values. As Assistant Director, Bridget will leverage her experience to continue overseeing membership, fundraising, and development efforts while expanding her role in Save The River’s advocacy initiatives.
