We’re thrilled to announce that the 37th Annual Winter Environmental Conference will take place on January 31, 2026! This year’s conference promises to be one of our most dynamic yet, featuring renowned experts, timely research, and thought-provoking discussions about the environmental challenges and opportunities facing our region.

Among our distinguished speakers:

  • Dr. Michael Twiss of Algoma University will present insights from the Great Lakes Winter Science Summary Report, exploring the most pressing winter challenges impacting the Great Lakes and our surrounding ecosystems.

  • Dr. Stacy McNulty from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (Newcomb Campus) will discuss “Warmer Winters, Restless Wildlife, and Lessons from the Beavers” a  look at how climate change is reshaping our watersheds and the wildlife that depend on them.

  • Matt Norvilitis from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry speaking on how the mighty lake sturgeon is reclaiming its place in our waters!

And that’s just the beginning! With more inspiring speakers and engaging topics to be announced soon, this year’s conference is not one you want to miss.
