2023 Bass Catch and Release Winner

You are here: Home / Catch & Release / 2023 Bass Catch and Release Winner

January 12, 2024 by STR_Admin

We announced Tenney Hanna as our 2023 Bass Catch and Release winner. Tenney received a Bass Pro Series fishing kit, a STR Catch and Release towel, and will receive recognition at our Winter Environmental Conference.

Since 1987, Save The River has promoted catch and release fishing for muskellunge, a species threatened on the St. Lawrence River. The addition of bass to STR’s Catch and Release Program is a continuation of efforts to improve the overall health of the St. Lawrence River and to ensure a healthy, sustainable fishery.

Anglers can submit their catch and releases on our website or by directly messaging the Save The River Catch and Release Facebook page. To be eligible for the Bass Catch and Release prize, anglers must submit a photo showing themselves properly holding the fish, providing support so the fish is not harmed. It is preferred to submit a photo of the release as well.

Learn more about the Bass Catch and Release program on our page here.
